Description
Butcher paper is also referred to as Peach Paper.
Our new non-stick, unbleached wet strength butcher paper is the natural colour of the wood used in the manufacturing process. Most white papers have gone through a chemical process to achieve the colour. Peach paper is a pale brown.
There is no wax coating on this paper. Tanco’s butcher paper is suitable for use in the deli or butchery where moisture is present. The paper is strong enough to peel straight from the meat when wet or dry without tearing or leaving part of the paper attached.
What does wet strength paper mean?
The paper will not disintegrate if water or oil is applied to the butcher paper. This makes it perfect for meats with high-fat content.
Supermarket stickers will easily stick to this paper.
Possible uses for butcher paper:
- Wrap and protect raw meats and fish from contamination.
- Wrap sandwiches, subs and burgers.
- There is also a growing trend of using peach paper for BBQ’s when smoking meat. During the BBQ process, steam escapes through the paper so the meat doesn’t go soggy. Wrap ribs, roast and poultry to protect your meat during cooking or the resting stage.
As this paper is natural and has no coating, it will not melt in high temperatures- it is suitable for BBQ cooking or baking up to 210°C.
Our butcher paper manufacturing plant has achieved a BRCGS AA grading
Each pack contains 1000 sheets of paper.
